Porpoises
Porpoises in Denmark

National Geographic asked Peter to go on an assignment to take pictures of porpoises. As these wonderful creatures are very shy in open waters, we visited Fjord Baelt in Kerteminde, where four rescued porpoises live in a part of the harbour. Though their environment is fenced, the animals can still decide to pose for a picture, or... not to pose for a picture. It took a few days, but finally Freja, her daughter Frigg Amandaa, Egil and Sif were acting as real underwater models. We want to thank everyone at Fjord&Baelt for the warm welcome! The pictures were published in January issue of Dutch National Geographic, and will be published in other issues.

Our company Underwater Magic produced a great book about this subject, that was printed for the second time after two months. The project Duik de Noordzee Schoon got a lot of attention in the Dutch and Belgian media, and a grant from the Dutch Postcode Loterij! And it will of course be continued in the coming months.

Have a look at the pictures Peter made!
